The highly anticipated Fontainebleau Las Vegas resort is scheduled to open in December after 23 years of development. Real estate tycoon Jeffrey Soffer will introduce the $3.7 billion hotel and casino on December 13. The expansive resort boasts seven pools, 36 restaurants and bars, as well as a private club on the top floor. This ambitious project is the result of a strategic partnership with David Grutman's Groot Hospitality, which will bring two of his renowned restaurants, Komodo and Papi Steak, to the resort.

The 67-story property has been in progress since Soffer acquired the land in 2000. Construction on the Fontainebleau began in February 2007 but encountered setbacks due to financial difficulties during the 2008-2009 financial crisis. Despite changing ownership multiple times, Soffer regained control of the project in 2021, even though it remains unfinished. The resort has undergone a total of 16 years of development and construction.

Now that it is finally completed, the resort is getting ready to welcome guests in just a few months. Alongside its impressive amenities, the lobby showcases a sculpture by Swiss artist Urs Fischer, and Dave Grutman will introduce some of his renowned Miami spots, including LIV nightclub and Papi Steak, to the resort.
