Approval has been given to transform the permanently closed Croydon Park Hotel site into a build to rent complex with a 33 and 36-story scheme.

Called the Botanical House Towers, the project will deliver nearly 450 homes providing a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments at the Altyre Road site. It is intended to reach the highest possible sustainability standards including a BREEAM Outstanding rating, Fitwel3* certification, and WiredScore Platinum.

The basement and ground floor slab of the original hotel building will be retained to save embodied carbon and minimize demolition and subsequent waste on site. Construction is planned to start in 2024, with the development scheduled to complete and open in 2027.
