Hamilton Waterfront Development Approved

On 23 November, Waterfront Shores Corporation announced that development plans for Block 16 and the Pier 8 community had been approved by the Hamilton City Council. The project design for a 45-story building that will integrate within a historic neighborhood was created by Bruce Kuwabara, founder of KPMB Architects.

In addition, the approved plans will also allow for an additional 150 family-sized housing units, opportunities for public art, new public spaces, and a public terrace.

The Waterfront Shores Corporation is a partnership between Tercot Communities, Cityzen, and Greybrook Realty Partners Inc. As the project progresses, Waterfront Shores must continue to work on meeting the updated direction of the Hamilton City Council regarding net-zero carbon building design standards.
