Plans are set for Japanese architecture studio, Kengo Kuma and Associates to develop Mirai, a sculptural block of buildings in the Miami Design District.

The retail building will encompass Japanese and Floridian design aspects and include customizable, modular retail units that renters can separate and combine as needed. Retail units will be located on the ground floor. In addition to retail space, the Mirai will include office space on the second and third floors and a green roof featuring solar panels.

Groundbreaking for the development is planned for 2024, with completion expected in 2025.
