Construction has resumed on a residential skyscraper called 550 Tenth Avenue in Hell's Kitchen. This follows a fire and partial collapse of the tower crane earlier this year. The 47-story building, designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, will reach a height of 158 meters and cover an area of 131,064 square meters.

It will offer 453 rental units, including 137 units for affordable housing. In addition, the building will include 836 square meters of retail space on the lower level, over 1,858 square meters of amenities, and 231 square meters of administrative office space for the neighboring Covenant House.  The Covenant House project, completed in 2021, received the CTBUH 2023 Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Award and the 2023 Award of Excellence. The property is located on Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets and is owned by GO Covenant LLC. Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the project.
