Urbánica, a real estate developer, will be building a residential project called Anthurium in the city of Tegucigalpa in Honduras.

The 24-story high-rise will be built in Lomas del Guijarro, which is close to other residential, commercial and corporate high-rises.

The Project will have seven townhouses in addition to the high-rise. The investment is currently estimated to be at US$26.1 million. “It is a mixed vertical and horizontal living complex with incredible views of the city,” said the commercial director of Urbánica, Álvaro Barraza. He added that the commercial pre-sale process of the project will begin in February 2019, while construction will begin closer to summer of that year.

The project, which is named after a flower that changes color and is native to the region, is being marketed at a new generation of Hondurans that don‘t wish to leave the area in which they were born, said Barraza.

The El Salvador-based company is investing in the Honduran real estate market along with the real estate arm of Grupo Finaciero Ficohsa.
Among the project’s amenities is an advanced security system. Urbánica has invested 200,000 in artificial intelligence for the building to date.

Urbánica has also invested in the Costa Rican real estate market, with a tower of apartments called iFreses, which is expected to begin rentals between January and February next year. The San Jose-based project is 2,300 square meters with 270 apartments over 25 stories.

Urbánica has also invested in its home country, including projects like Puerta del Alma, AM Tower, Portal Tierras Altas and more.
