Two Security Guards Die in Flooded Elevator in Mumbai

Two security guards at Nathani Residency, a 22-story high-rise building at Agripada, died after they got stuck in a waterlogged elevator in the basement. The police said that the basement was flooded, and the two entered the elevator in order to escape, but the elevator got stuck and began taking in water. Fire brigade officials used a cutter to open the elevator in the rescue, but the guards were declared dead by doctors at Nair Hospital.
