Residences at the Allen, a luxury tower worth $290 million, is set to complete its construction after four years. The tower boasts 35 floors and is situated at 1711 Allen Parkway. It will house 99 condos and a 171-key Thompson Hotel, which is expected to open by the end of this year. Despite the challenges posed by Houston's sluggish housing market, 20 out of the majority of the residences have already been sold. Non-penthouse units start at $1.8 million, while the remaining four penthouses command a starting price of $3 million.

The amenities are impressive and include valet, concierge, room service, and access to the Thompson Hotel's spa, pool, and helipad. The first wave of residents is expected to move in this fall. DC Partners, the local real estate developer, has shifted its plans for the next phase of development from previously planned office space to residential and retail. The firm has also completed the Pavilion at the Allen, a futuristic retail building that houses a 34,000-square-foot gym operated by EoS Fitness, and the upcoming Mexican steakhouse, Toca Madera, spanning approximately 11,000 square feet. Additionally, Noble 33, a restaurant owner, is planning to open a Mediterranean restaurant called Meduza Mediterrania on the rooftop next spring.
