In Araneta City, a suburb south of Quezon City, developers expect to complete construction on a 15-story ibis Styles Hotel by the end of 2020, with the full opening in February 2021.

The hotel will be above the expansion of the Gateway Mall, along General Roxas Avenue. It will house 286 rooms and six function rooms for meetings and conferences.

During the topping-off ceremony for the hotel, building contractor Megawide Construction Corporation Chairman and CEO, Edgar Saavedra said the hotel is part of a ₱5-billion (US$97 million) contract they were awarded by The Araneta Group, a diversified group of companies anchored in food, leisure, and property development. The project includes structural development for the hotel, a four-story mall expansion, three-level basement parking, and a large chapel.

An overhanging pool, furnished with a glass bottom, will be the highlight of the roof deck bar overlooking the Metro Manila skyline. Facing west, the pool will provide a unique view of sunsets over Manila Bay.
