Located in Lyon's Part-Dieu business district, between the rue de Bonnel and boulevard Eugène Deruelle, the former Caisse d'Epargne-Rhône-Alpes headquarters, which had been occupied until 2016 before the company moved to the Incity tower, will become the new CERA Redevelopment.

After a period of consultation, a regional bank selected Pitch Promotion to oversee the new real estate project. "We decided to go with Pitch Promotion to take on this new project in the historic district of Brotteaux that combines the challenges of an office / residential mix amid green space," said Michel Manent, president of the Counseil d'Orientatation et de Surveillance, and Alain Denizot, president of the executive board of the Caisse d'Epargne Rhône Alpes.

The new project will be a mixed-use tower, consisting of 22,000 square meters of offices, housing, and retail, and will total about 31,000 square meters upon completion. The regional bank has already planned to open an agency in this building and to reinvest in the project through the acquisition of 5,000 square meters of the office space.

The current building will be completely demolished to make way for the new project, but with an eye toward reusing and reincorporating as many components and materials as possible, in partnership with engineering companies R-Use and Mineka.

In order to meet the needs of building users and residents, particularly in terms of sustainable development and ecological transition, Pitch Promotion worked with the consulting firm Office for Cities, an office that conducts case studies for environmental quality, and a landscaping firm. The project will thus offer 2,000 square meters of planted terraces and a large patio in order to combat the urban heat island effect while improving the quality of the building's living and working environment. Three architects will be collaborating on the project: Sou Fujimoto Atelier, Dream, and Exndo.

"We are delighted to have been able to win this consultation alongside our partners in order to enhance the historical heritage as recognized as the Caisse d'Epargne Rhône Alpes," said Johan Paul, director-general of the Lyon Rhône-Alpes region of Pitch Promotion.

Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2021.
