Austin Tower Reduced in Height
Austin's Wilson Tower was first proposed in November 2022 and was originally planned to reach 1,035 feet in height, which would make it among the city's tallest. The plan has now been altered and the revised tower will only reach 45 stories.
The City of Austin's Design Commission didn't approve the tower's first iteration which precipitated the change. Wilson Capital, HKS Inc and Nudge Design all worked to revise the project, which included reducing the floor-to-area ratio (FAR).
