A 12-story boutique condo building, The Chaucer, in the Rice Village area of Houston is planned to go up. Details have been scarce as to when construction will start but a "coming soon" sign has been posted in the neighborhood to signify its potential start this year.

Early details that have so far been discussed is that it will have 29 residential units, with typical floor plans of two and three bedrooms. Located at 2630 Rice Blvd., the approximate 7,500-square-foot (697-square-meter) site will sit on a parcel across from Chaucer Street. It is next to Hungry’s, a lively restaurant and neighborhood staple (and generator of tricky traffic egress.)
