About
Steven Cook is a Managing Director at the Chicago based architectural firm Jahn, and is responsible for the firm’s work in Europe and the Middle East. During 40 years of creating important, large-scale buildings, Cook has gained a broad knowledge of design and technology, and he uses that knowledge to harmonize a client’s functional and economic requirements with an uplifting and compelling architectural expression.
Born and raised in Michigan, he studied at the University of Michigan and received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1980 and a Master of Architecture in 1983. Cook also studied in Freiburg, Germany, and is fluent in German, a skill he has used extensively on the firm’s many commissions in Germany. He has been a registered architect since 1983, a member of the AIA since 1989 and was elevated to Fellow in 2015.
