Stephen Jones is an architect, urban designer and Director of the global architecture practice Woods Bagot, with over 25 years’ experience in practice. Stephen has contributed significantly to the development of the global firm through leadership in design and the realization of major Interior, architecture and urban design projects across Asia-Pacific, Europe and Australia.
He has a strong interest in mixed-use, tall buildings, placemaking and sustainability, with broad experience in large, complex projects encompassing public works, cultural and commercial components.
Recognized as an innovative designer, he is an energetic communicator and creative collaborator, with broad interests in design process, concepts of value throughout society, and the application of quantitative data driven design methodologies in professional practice.
As a senior practitioner, he is a LEED-accredited professional, an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong in the Department of Urban Planning and Design, lecturing on value in design, and is active on several board and committees in design practice and real estate.
Jones is a regular speaker at international conferences and an awards judge. He is published regularly in print and social media. He travels widely and is based in Asia, living with his family in Hong Kong.
