Sam Singer is a Geotechnical Senior Project Manager at Langan. He has worked on projects for private developers, architects, contractors, and public agencies (SCA, NYCHA, DDC, EDC to note a few) in the greater New York City area, and in the Middle East. His projects range from high profile billion-dollar developments to small additions. He has also provided geotechnical design work to flood resiliency projects around New York City.
Sam manages a group of talented staff and project engineers. He and his group have experience in design, review, and inspection of foundations, ground improvement, excavation support and underpinning, construction monitoring, waterproofing, bulkheads, seepage barriers, geotechnical construction administration, and preparing technical reports. He emphasizes the importance of working with the owner, architect, contractors, and other consultants to determine effective and economical geotechnical solutions for each project.
Mr. Singer has served as President of the ASCE Metropolitan Section. He has been involved with coordinating networking, mentoring, community and student outreach, and technical events. Involvement and contribution to other societies include Geo-Institute, Deep Foundations Institute, and the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitats. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
