Michele O’Connor is a Senior Principal at Langan and co-director of the firm’s civil engineering practice in New York City. Throughout her career, Michele has managed numerous groundbreaking land development projects in the New York metropolitan area. She is currently overseeing the design and construction of 2,000+ units of affordable housing, public open space, and new city streets and infrastructure within the Willets Point urban redevelopment district in eastern Queens, New York.

Michele is a longtime advocate of developing opportunities and increasing recognition for women and underrepresented groups in the engineering industry. She is actively engaged in several industry organizations and professional boards including the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, Women Builders Counsel, CREW New York and the Rutgers School of Engineering Industry Advisory Board.

Michele earned a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University College of Engineering. She is a licensed professional engineer in New York and New Jersey and a LEED certified professional.
