Ed Forwood MICE, MIStructE, MSFE is a Structural Engineer, Façade Engineer, digital developer and a former Director with Arup. Ed supports the Society of Façade Engineers as one of the judges to their annual façade awards and the CWCT where he has been both an active member of their Sustainability committee and the Chair of their Circularity Working Group. Ed was one of the contributory authors to the IStructE publication “Structural Aspects of Cladding”. Ed is a passionate advocate for digital transformation and is currently focussed on how it can lead to improvements in the procurement of facades and improved sustainability performance. Ed is currently supporting Multiplex in their drive to establish an automated, data-driven implementation of the CWCT’s embodied carbon methodology to simplify embodied carbon calculation, data capture and cross portfolio insight for the facade package.
