Unit Sales Continue for Zaragoza’s Rising Tower

05 November 2018 | Zaragoza, Spain

Grupo Plaza 14, the real estate group in charge of the promotion of Torre Zaragoza, has already sold more than 70 percent of the homes of what will be the first residential high-rise in the Aragonese capital to overcome the 100-meter threshold. Three years before the 106-meter tower’s completion date, scheduled for mid-2021, more than 200 of the 285 available homes have already sold. The tower includes different sizes and types of homes, ranging from 68 to 168 square meters of living space. In addition, many of the units are exterior-facing and feature large terraces.

Works on the residential project began in June 2018 at the hands of the Dragados construction company and have continued subsequently according to the established deadlines. The project site, located in front of the Alta Velocidad Española (AVE) high-speed rail station, spans a surface area equivalent to 12 football stadiums.

According to the Directive of Energy Efficiency of Buildings, all buildings that are to be delivered beyond 2020 must demonstrate minimal energy consumption. The Zaragoza tower has been designed under the Passivhaus construction criteria, which will mean energy savings of up to 80 percent compared to conventional homes.

The building is also slated to include two swimming pools, a gym, a paddle tennis court, green areas, five garage floors and large common areas. The building will contain a total of seven lifts, with capacity for 13 people, and two large-capacity lifts to facilitate the transport of furniture and large objects to the top floors of the tower.
