Proposal Lodged for $12 Million Mixed-Use Building in Guatemala City

Plans to build a 16-level building containing commercial premises, offices, apartments, and a hotel area in Zone 10 of Guatemala City are underway.

Mercantil de Proyectos, S.A. presented the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) to develop the project called Building B, Corporate Center Los Próceres 13.50, which will be developed on a plot of land located at the corner of 19th Street and 14th Avenue.

The document explains that the construction comprises multiple phases: preliminary work, excavation of foundations, construction of seven basement levels, and construction of a 16-level building.

According to the study, the seven basement levels will feature space for parking lots, warehouses, machine rooms, and maintenance.

Starting at grade, levels 2 through 6 have shops and offices, 7 through 10 have the hotel, 11 through 15 have apartments, and 16 through 18 have the gymnasium, swimming pool, business center, and communal areas.

This project is expected to have a total investment of US$11.8 million.
