A fire broke out from the top floor of a high-rise building in Makati City on Tuesday, 6 April, 2021 authorities said.

The Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) said the blaze occurred on the 14th floor at Verdina IV, a commercial building, along LP Leviste Street at Salcedo Village.

The hour-long fire reached the first alarm at 2:52 p.m., a second alarm at 3 p.m., was placed under control at 3:30 p.m., and extinguished at 3:48 p.m. The fire did not spread to other floors, the BFP said.

No fatality or injury was reported. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
