Fire Engulfs High-Rise Buildings in Valencia
On Friday, 23 February, a deadly fire engulfed two buildings in Valencia, Spain. The fire started around 5:30 pm (local time), and a reported 10 people have died, and several others were missing or injured. CTBUH has reviewed the reportage of the event to confirm that the fire appears to have been enhanced by the facade materials on the building. Authorities are assessing the building to determine if there is a risk of the structure collapsing.
