Join CTBUH for the Performance-Based Façade Design initiative curated by Angela Mejorin (Western University) and hosted by Dario Trabucco (Iuav & CTBUH), at Università Iuav di Venezia. The Seminar and Workshop have the support of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, Western (Canada) and Iuav (Italy) Universities, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the Order and College of Engineers of the Province of Venice, PoliMi University (Italy).

The Seminar will take place on Monday afternoon, September 4th, with a focus on Performance- Based Façade Design: The Current Challenges. Some of the topics covered by the presentations are related to façade design for hazard mitigation, building sustainability, energy efficiency, freeform skins, and safety performance. The Seminar presentations and panel discussions are concentrated between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

The Workshop will take place on Tuesday morning, September 5th. It corresponds to the in-person meeting for the on-going ISO Standard draft preparation "Windows, doors and curtain walling – Impacted by windborne debris in windstorms – Test method and classification". ISO / TC 162 / WG 5 "Curtain walling" Designated Experts, together with all workshop participants, will go through the in-progress standard document. The document will be shared before the workshop with all confirmed attendees. The Workshop runs between 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM.

Italian Engineers can earn 4 + 3 CFP registering trough Fondazione Ingegneri Veneziani / Collegio Ingegneri Venezia.
