Creating A Campus Within The Urban Habitat - A Panel Discussion and Networking Reception

Join the CTBUH Philadelphia chapter for a keynote presentation by Pete Cramer, Vice President, Development at Wexford Science & Technology. This panel discussion will detail the thought process and steps taken to create a modern and inviting campus within the existing University City landscape.  Principals from the key stakeholders will discuss the importance of integrating the existing community into these new developments.

Light food and drinks will be offered during the networking reception following the panel discussion.

Pete Cramer
Vice President, Market Executive, Wexford

 

Pete serves as Vice President and Market Executive for Wexford Science & Technology. He actively manages the marketing, leasing, financing, operation, and construction of uCity Square – Wexford’s project in the Philadelphia market.

uCity Square is an 8.0 million square foot mixed-use development project located in Philadelphia’s growing Innovation District. Specific buildings that Wexford manages include 3711 Market Street, 3737 Market Street, 3675 Market Street, 3401 Market, 3440 Market Street, 1 uCity, and Drexel University Health Science Building.

Pete graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University. He is an active member of ULI Philadelphia and serves on the Board of NAIOP Greater Philadelphia.

 

 
David Kaminski
Vice President and General Manager, Turner Construction Company

 

Dave is a hands-on leader who brings energy, inspiration, and vision to Turner’s Philadelphia business unit, ensuring that the Turner team provides its clients with superlative service. Committed to Turner’s goal of a diverse and inclusive industry, Dave seeks new opportunities to team with UBE partners on projects to advance the industry overall. In his role as general manager, Dave also has direct oversight of personnel, field operations, preconstruction services, purchasing, estimating, and accounting.  

A graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Civil Engineering, Dave joined Turner in 2008 as a field engineer. Dave progressed through a variety of field and office roles before being promoted to Business Development Manager. In 2020 Dave became a general manager of the Philadelphia business unit and was promoted to Vice President and General Manager in 2022. He regularly serves as a public speaker, panelist, and moderator for AEC industry-related events.

 

 
Matt Thomson
Principal, ZGF Architects

 

Matt Thomson takes a nimble, open-minded approach to every project. He works closely with clients including developers, cultural foundations, healthcare institutions, and technology companies to understand what motivates their decision-making and structure a design process unique to their culture. By letting go of idealized preconceived notions and understanding that design problems rarely have silver bullet solutions, Matt is able to explore numerous potential solutions to find the path most suitable to each client and project. He also brings a strong appreciation for the tactility of tools like hand sketches and physical models.
