On 29 September 2023, the CTBUH India Chapter organised the seminar The Future of Highrise Sustainable Water Management Systems. The keynote address and presentation was given by Tejashree Joshi (Head Environment Sustainability Godrej & Boyce) followed by presentations from Andreas of M/s Geberit on High Rise Plumbing Solutions and by M/s Grundfoss representatives on the Latest Trend in HVAC pumping solutions for High Rises. All the presentations showcased the inevitable relationship between water and energy and how they represent two sides of a coin.

The seminar ended with a panel discussion on the future sustainable technologies for the use and distribution of water in any form in relation to high rises. The panel was comprised of Sandeep Goel (Founder Director, Proion Consultants), Prem Thakur (VP, Technical Services IHCL), Rakesh Bhatia (SVP, Ecofirst Services Ltd.) and Andreas Mosebach (Head of Technical Services & Product Management at Geberit). The panel discussion was moderated by Rohit Uchil (Founder- Principal, Integrated Technical Services) and Sooraj Nair (Founder Directors, Grune Designs). The conversation covered the various challenges experienced by high rise buildings ranging from sourcing, storage, distribution and management of water, encompassed in the fabric of sustainability and aiming for a Net Zero approach to water in all forms.

The event was made possible with the support of Geberit, Grundfoss who also displayed their innovative products and shared some of the innovations being done in the product and materials development.
