Event Overview

A full day Seminar on Tall Buildings was held on 24th January, 2024, at I.I.T. (Indian Institute of Technology) in Hyderabad, Telangana. I.I.Ts are premier institutes of India in the field of Engineering and Technology. I.I.T. Hyderabad has a 600 Acre Campus with Academic Buildings, Lab and state of Art Facilities for Teachers and Students.

Diverse topics related to tall buildings covering Architecture, Outrigger and Dampers, Façade, Steel Composite buildings were covered. A one-hour Q&A session elucidated a warm response from participants, with students and other participants covering wide ranging questions. Seminar participants were comprised of B. Tech / M. Tech / Ph.D. students from I.I.T. Hyderabad, I.I.T professors and faculty, civil construction industry professionals, and structural design consultants from Hyderabad. I.I.T Hyderabad also presented a 15 minute video showcasing the research activities undertaken in the field of Civil Engineering under guidance of I.I.T. Faculty at the end of the seminar.
