CTBUH UK Chapter Presents: Regenerative Design Roundtable

Wednesday, 27 September 2023 | Ramboll, 240 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NW | London
UPDATE - THIS EVENT IS AT CAPACITY AND IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat UK chapter have been investigating the prominent topic of Regenerative Design. Through this, we hosted an event on 22nd February 2023, where we asked the question: Regenerative Design, is it possible?

Following the event, we felt that the definition was still vague and the topic extremely interesting and therefore conducted an investigatory piece of research, where we identified many definitions, primarily in association with environmental sustainability and climate change adaptation. However, we also discovered strong links to wider regeneration principles such as social regeneration and regenerative finance. Donut economics is an example that connects the key principles of environmental, social, and economic regeneration.

We hope to assemble a roundtable of interested members in the fields of architecture, urban design, environmental sustainability, regenerative finance, and social regeneration/value and invite them to tell their story and discuss their view, with the aim of finding an agreeable definition for Regenerative Design.

If you wish to be part of the debate, explore the topic, and help us define this emerging design paradigm on the 27th of September (AM), at Ramboll UK HQ in London, please email [email protected] with your name and we will be in touch with further details shortly.
