Walking Tour
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) announces its 2019 Global Walking Tour, taking place across 24 cities over summer 2019, beginning on 27 June. The Global Walking Tours have been held since 2014, to explore, first-hand, the aspects of the urban habitat that make cities great. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Council and its 10th World Congress, this year’s tours will follow the “50 Forward | 50 Back” theme, reflecting on recent history and looking to the sustainable future of cities around the world.
CTBUH Walking Tours are led by practitioners in the CTBUH network, typically from local professional services firms and governments, keyed to a theme that resonates with the general public. The object is to explore the relationship between the world of design and the experience of that design as realized, on the ground, provoking questions about quality of life and the impact of design decisions on our cities.
