On 17 December, CTBUH President Antony Wood, handed the certificate to Jean Graciola, President and Co-Founder of FG Empreendimentos to certify that at 290 meters high, the One Tower, Balneário Camboriú, is officially the tallest all-residential high-rise in Latin America and the tallest building in Brazil, according to CTBUH Height Criteria.

I am proud to be here and part of this moment in unveiling the One Tower as the tallest building in Brazil, " stated CTBUH President Antony Wood, "The One Tower while also receiving the title of the tallest all-residential building in Latin America is much more than that. It is part of an enterprise in shaping urban development that defines the lives of residents who are living in these growing communities.

Located off avenida Atlântica on the north coast of Santa Catarina, the 70-story residential building covers a total area of 52,785.06 square meters. On each floor there are two apartments, with the exception of four floors that are dedicated to leisure areas - two of which are designated on the floors 56 and 57.

The night of delivery was at One Tower with customers and partners, and outside along the beaches of Balneário Camboriú where FG extended its celebrations to the surrounding community. More than 1000 people gathered in front of the One Tower to toast to the building's completion, which featured a light show, fireworks and a "ballet in the heights," with a renowned vertical dance group that performed for the first time in Santa Catarina.

The delivery of the One Tower is a milestone, " said Jean Graciola, co-founder and president of FG, "And to celebrate with the city of Balneário Camboriú is a great achievement for all of us.

The high-rise was built with more than 9,000 tons of steel, 24,992.82 cubic meters of concrete - the equivalent of more than 8,000 trucks mixers - and more than five thousand tons of flooring and plastering that had the participation of more than 2,000 workers directly and indirectly. One Tower's elevators use state-of-the-art technology. There are a total of five lifts with a speed of five meters per second, which reach the top in less than a minute and rely on innovative solutions to meet the complexity of the project. The main feature of these are the active slides - Active Roller Guide - reduces oscillations within of the cab to provide greater comfort to the passenger. It uses the same technology employed at One World Trade Center in New York City, developed by TK Elevator.
