Approval has been given to 150 Elizabeth Street, a 41-story high-rise in Brisbane. The vacant lot sits behind the site of a historic Regent Theatre, that now only has an ornately decorated entrance hall and grand foyer fronting Queen Street Mall remaining.

The mixed-use building will add 59,224 square meters of occupiable space above an eight-story podium designed to connect the existing hotel, carpark, and retail components with the heritage fabric of the former Regent Theatre. The podium will incorporate pocket gardens, sky terraces, and balconies.  Other sustainable features include charcoal-tinted glazing to reduce the internal heat loads and glare.
