Zara is the Head of Façade Engineering for AECOM for UK and Ireland. Zara obtained her Masters in Façade Engineering with distinction 15 years ago. Since then, she has collaborated with Architects such as David Chipperfield, Foster and Partners, Gehry, Herzog & De Meuron, Renzo Piano and Zaha Hadid. Her experience covers a broad spectrum ranging from complex sculptures to 250m+ skyscrapers with fully glazed double skins, from modest façade improvement refurbishments to new airports, from feasibility studies to technical design. Zara is an active member of the façade community in her role as Board Member of the Society of Façade Engineers and her involvement on the Joint Competency Initiative for the Building Envelope Sector.
