Er. Lim Yaw Shyan is the Deputy Director of the School of Academic and Continuing Education at BCA Academy. He holds a Master of Sciences in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore and is a registered Professional Engineer (civil) with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.

Before joining BCA, Yaw Shyan amassed approximately 16 years of practical experience as a structural engineer in various domains, including commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial development.

His strong passion for education in the built environment sector inspired his transition to BCA Academy. Yaw Shyan also contributes to academia as an Associate Faculty member of Singapore University of Social Sciences and a sessional lecturer for the University of Newcastle Singapore. Currently, he also serves as the in-house instructor for the Learning Organization training program at BCA.
