Xavier Aguiló became an industrial engineer in 1999, when he began his collaboration with BOMAINPASA Barcelona as structural consultant. He became an Associate in 2001. Since September 2007, he has been the Director of the branch in Madrid.

He also teaches Structures in the School of Architecture in the European University of Madrid and serves as a structural consultant for the school's design studios.

He is a member of the ACE (Association of Structural Consultants in Catalonia) since 2004, and the ACIES (Association of Independent Structural Consultants in Spain) since 2010. He is especially interested in sustainable architecture and singular structures.
