About
Valerie Poli is a partner of Valode & Pistre architects working as senior architect, director of architecture studio and designer as the head of VP design.
After a start in Berlin during her studies at Wolf Rüdiger BORCHARDT and ten-year highly fruitful collaboration with Odile DECQ and Benoit CORNETTE at ODBC studio, she joined the global architectural agency of Valode & Pistre, in Paris. Her first responsibilities included the design of several original projects such as the Beaugrenelle shopping center near the Eifel tower in Paris, and the new pedestrian district in historic Bordeaux known as “la Promenade Sainte-Catherine".
Winner of an internal agency competition at Valode& Pistre in 2004, her project for the Hyatt 5*Hotel in Ekaterinburg was completed in 2008. She becomes passionate about Russia and has directed several large projects as the Yekaterinburg City Business district as well as the Iset luxury apartment tower.
As a partner with Valode & Pistre since 2010, she created and led an architecture studio in London that developed the Skolkovo Technopark in Moscow (250,000m2) in coordination with Arup, the El Jadida Convention Center in Morocco and The Hyatt Regency hotel in Sochi for the Russian 2014 Olympic games. In 2014 she embarked on a new challenge as leader of an interior architecture studio. Her experience and accomplishments as an architect gave her the skills and finesse for handling big scale projects down to the smallest detail, from furniture design to her favorite medium of light treatments. Thoroughness, sensitivity, elegance and innovation are the keywords that describe her way of working. Sensitive to architectural heritage, she adds her own personal touch to each and every project by developing bespoke creations.
While completing several large-scale projects like Sanofi’s campus in Paris, Clarins headquarters in Neuilly or the In city tower in Lyons, she has also expanded her team of designers, with several iconic projects such as Saint-Gobain’s headquarters tower in la Defense and Bio Mérieux’s worldwide headquarters, the Airbus campus in Toulouse, and the renovation of la Grande Arche de la Défense (Parisian business district) for the French Ministry of the Environment. As well as remodeling a historic building on the Champs-Élysées as Nike recent House of innovation, she is also working on several exclusive hotels around the world as the new Bulgari hotel avenue George V, in Paris.
