Tom Clewlow is a structural engineer at Arup based in the London Buildings Group. He has worked on a wide-range of multidisciplinary projects around the world; most notably, Atrio Torre Norte in Bogota, Colombia, the Leadenhall Building in London and 6-8 Bishopsgate in London. Clewlow graduated in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is a chartered engineer through the Institution of Structural Engineers.
Clewlow has gained experience working on a number of sites on the Canary Wharf Estate where he has developed a strong interest in working closely with contractors to enhance the constructability of designs. Clewlow has most recently designed a 80m x 60m concrete shell roof for a museum in Northern India. The design against significant seismic activity while maintaining the constructability of the shell has been a key consideration through the design.
