Swarup Duary is a Director with Greenfra Engineering Private Limited: a Delhi based Structural consulting and construction start-up venture company which mainly promotes green technology. He is BE (Civil) M.Tech (Structures) and was Lead structural engineer with Bechtel India Pvt. Limited in Gurgaon, India before starting Greenfra. After passing graduation in Civil engineering from Calcutta University in 1994, Duary received a Masters in structural engineering in 1998 from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi.

Mr. Duary has more than 17 years of engineering and project management experience relating to oil gas, power, mining metal, cement, tall buildings and other industrial facilities. Since 1994 he has held numerous leadership roles in engineering companies in India. On behalf of Bechtel Corporation, he had worked as lead role in several projects in the USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and Gulf countries. He has in-depth knowledge in several structural codes such as AISC, ACI, AISC (Australian), Canadian, Euro and Indian codes. He has strong holds on structural Dynamics as his Master’s thesis was focused on “Aerodynamic analysis of tall chimneys”. Duary is Six sigma Yellow belt and possesses strong entrepreneur skills.
