About

Samyuktha Pillai is a graduate of architecture at HASSELL where she is currently involved in designing the Ribbon Hotel and Residences - a new tower that is set to transform Sydney’s Skyline. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Melbourne and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Manchester.

Sam has always pushed for architecture’s role in social change. She has worked for the UN Habitat in Somalia designing public buildings as part of UN’s peace building program. She has worked in post-disaster reconstruction in the Philippines and master planning for building resilience to climate change in Malawi. She is also currently collaborating with the University of Sydney in a post-disaster development project in Vanuatu.
