Since joining the firm in 1996, Mr. Weindel has been involved in the design and development of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems across a wide range of projects, including cultural facilities, educational institutions, multi-use commercial developments, and financial facilities. His responsibilities include project management, coordination, design, calculations, and preparation of construction documents.
Among his more notable projects in the cultural sector are The Shed, the Museum of Modern Art expansion, and the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center. In addition to the redevelopment of the landmark James A. Farley Building, now known as Moynihan Train Hall, and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center expansion, his commercial high-rise experience includes World Trade Center Towers One and 7 as well as 7 Bryant Park.
Mr. Weindel holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Engineering at Columbia, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
