Pauline Saliga, Executive Director of the Society of Architectural Historians, oversees strategic planning and fundraising for the international learned society which is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Saliga, whose research focuses on 19th and 20th century American architecture and its international precedents and influences, holds a graduate degree in art history and museum administration from the University of Michigan. With an 18-year curatorial career, Saliga served as Assistant Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and Associate Curator in the Department of Architecture at The Art Institute of Chicago.
