Nilesh Y. Jadhav is a passionate clean energy technopreneur, with more than 2 decades of experience in the field (published author, scientist, entrepreneur, thought leader, professional trainer and educator). He is the co-founder and CEO of BtrLyf-digital built environment ecosystem platform at Qi Square, a spin-off company of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore).
He previously (between 2011-2019) worked as a Senior Scientist and Program Director at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, leading the Ecocampus Sustainability testbeding initiative and the research group on Sustainable Built Environment Technologies. He has been involved in writing the Technology Primers on Smart Grids and Solar Technologies for the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS, Singapore) and also was the project lead for developing Singapore’s first Technology Roadmap in the area of Energy Efficient Building Technologies with the Building Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore.
Nilesh has over 20 years of diverse work experience in senior management & technical roles in manufacturing, supply- logistics and research functions in Singapore, India and the Netherlands. He is an active member of the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) since 2009 and a silver member with the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). He is an avid renewable energy enthusiast and also served as an Editor with Solar Novus, an online publication dedicated to solar energy. He is also the director of Solarika Pte Ltd, a company he founded in 2012 with an ambition to offer low-cost renewable energy solutions to developing countries. He has a keen interest and involvement in technology commercialization activities and mentoring new technology start-ups. His other venture Qi Square uses scientific modelling and data-driven tools to optimize green building performance and operations in the long-run.
