Neal Babcock, P.E., LEED™AP, is a Principal at Alderson Engineering. He serves as the Principal of many project teams.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer (in 17 states and Wash. DC.), a Certified Geoexchange Designer, and a LEED™ Accredited Professional.

His wide range of project experience includes High-Rise, Residential Mixed-Use, Adaptive Re-use, Renovations, Office Buildings, Senior Living, Higher Education, Dormitory, K-12, and Corporate Facilities.

Neal earned a Master of Science in Engineering focusing on Mechanical Building Systems from Drexel University. He also holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Architectural Engineering and one in Civil Engineering, both from Drexel University.

Neal is an industry expert in geothermal water-source heat pump systems and has provided geothermal borehole field system design for over 21,000 Tons and 6,600 wells, encompassing over 6.8 million building square feet (and counting). He has been involved in the design of two of the world's largest closed-loop, central geothermal systems, each over 3,000 tons.
