Akmal leads the real estate investment team that covers the North American market. He is also the Real Estate Lead Representative for PNB’s UK subsidiary, PNB (UK) Limited, where he monitors PNB Group’s real estate fund investments and sources investment opportunities in the Western markets for the team.

Akmal has been with PNB since 2011 and has spent most of his career in real estate investments for both the domestic and international markets. He played a vital role in the global expansion of PNB’s real estate investment portfolio since 2018. He was part of the core team that drove the diversification of PNB’s real estate investments across the US, Europe and Australia. Prior to joining the real estate investment team, Akmal has experience in project management for domestic real estate refurbishment schemes in his early years with PNB. 

Akmal holds a Masters in Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London, a Masters (Hons) in Real Estate from University of Malaya and a Certificate of Real Estate Investment Finance from APREA-Oxford Brookes University.
