Michael Kleiss

About

Dr. Kleiss comes from a multidisciplinary background trained in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Music, Film and Fine Arts. He holds a Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a PhD in Design and Computation from MIT where he researched the computational nature of the work of Antonio Gaudi. Dr. Kleiss' research in computational morphology transcends the boundaries between architecture, structures and computational design. He has published and presented his research in international forums. Currently he is leading a research project funded by the National Science Foundation on Architectural and Structural resilience. He is an avid pilot and scuba diver instructor.
