Matt Streid is a Design Engineer at Magnusson Klemencic Associates, an award-winning structural and civil engineering firm headquartered in Seattle, Washington, with offices in Shanghai, Riyadh, and Chicago. Matt’s experience centers on Chicago-based projects, including 300 East Randolph, the vertical expansion of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield building; 87-story Aqua at Lakeshore East; and the mixed-use vertical campus for Roosevelt University. Matt earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with his graduate studies focused in the Structures Option. As Vice-Chair of the Young Professionals Committee of CTBUH, Matt is looking to generate interest in the development of tall building innovations with up-and-coming young engineers and students.
