About
All of Matt’s 20+ years in the design and construction industry have been with Turner, and he has split his time roughly 50 / 50 between work in the United States and abroad (Connecticut, Dubai, New York, Kuala Lumpur, and most recently, Chicago). Geography notwithstanding, Matt’s company experience centers around general and department leadership and overseeing high-rise, mixed-use projects worldwide.
After graduating from the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University, Matt progressed through various operational and field assignments in Turner’s Connecticut office. With a growing passion for urban planning and tall buildings, Matt applied for and was accepted as a project manager / superintendent on Turner’s construction management team on the Burj Khalifa, now the world’s tallest building.
After five years in Dubai, Matt returned to the USA, completing his MBA in 2012. He then rejoined Turner’s international group, first based in New York as the Director of Business Development, and later in a second overseas role leading the Malaysia and Indonesia offices. In Asia, along with his business unit leadership responsibilities, Matt was also principle-in-charge on multiple projects, including Merdeka PNB118, which will be the world’s second tallest building once completed.
Most recently in March 2020, Matt relocated back from Asia to join Turner’s Chicago office leadership where he is now focused on expanding the company’s growing portfolio throughout the Great Lakes Region. He loves what he does, and he loves the company with which he gets to do it.
