Martin is a Director of Arney Fender Katsalidis and has a wealth of experience and specialist expertise in tall buildings, sustainable design, deep energy retrofits and re-purposement of existing tower assets in the commercial and institutional sectors.

Martin has over 30 years of experience negotiating complex design and municipal issues for a broad range of clients. He works collaboratively with stakeholder groups and has a proven track record of successfully guiding large-scale projects to completion and developing long-standing client relationships.

Martin’s wide-ranging portfolio and a global experience includes North America and Europe and focuses on sustainable design in the commercial sector. His work includes the first LEED® CS Gold Certified project in Canada, Calgary’s Bankers Court office tower.

Prior to joining Arney Fender Katsalidis, Martin was a Principal with Dialog Inc. for almost 20 years, where he led several large mixed-use developments including Brookfield Place, a 2.8 million sqft project in downtown Calgary, and the recently completed James Michael Flaherty Building (90 Elgin Street) in Ottawa – a LEED® Gold Certified, P3 project for Public Works and Government Services Canada.

In addition to being a registered Architect and LEED® Accredited Professional, Martin holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He spent almost a decade on the senior management team of one of Canada’s major corporations, lending him a unique and keen outside-in perspective of the key drivers for major commercial projects.
