Mario Lafontaine is a Civil Structural Engineer from the Univesity of Chile. Has worked on some of the tallest building in the region.

Currently he works as New Technologies Director in Rene Lagos Engineers, looking to provide resiliency to buildings on high seismic zone by either providing seismic protection technology (isolators, dampers) or by using more reliable methods to assess the seismic performance (Performance Based Design).
