About
In his current role as Design Director within the Engineering Department of Bouygues Bâtiment International (BBI), Marc leads the architectural and structural team responsible for design of all elements essential to the construction of any building, specializing in both concrete and steel structures. His expertise is not, however, limited to design and conceptualization and in his capacity as structural design director; his responsibilities span the entire spectrum of the different phases of the construction of any building. During the commercial phase, Marc is responsible for the analysis of proposed projects, along with structural risk assessment. In addition to this he also challenges himself, and his team, to go further than what is simply proposed, thus leading to the conception and design phase in which he always aims for the most efficient architectural and structural solutions, both pragmatically and economically, whilst maintaining open communication between all the design departments, ensuring that the conception harmonizes with all other design aspects of any building project. In addition, Marc is a specialist in seismic studies and design as well as the design of high-rise structures (MahaNakon Tower, Ardmore Tower, M&C Tower, The MET, The Sail @Marina Bay).
As the head of the design department, he not only understands and implements the requisite management, preparing and guiding the 20 design engineers and architects that make up his design team, but he is also viewed as the middle-man, to whom all architectural and structural challenges are directed, whether it be solving issues raised during the conceptual design phase or settling concerns during the construction phase.
