Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Lupe graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering and certificate in Architectural Engineering and Design from Northwestern University. After a brief stint in business consulting, he received an MS degree from Stanford University specializing in Structural Engineering. He has experience working for various AEC firms and is passionate about designing at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and sustainability. Since joining Buro Happold in 2021, Lupe has worked on various complex projects in the Education and Commercial sectors while being involved with the firm’s computational design collective and recruitment team in Chicago.
