Lori provides geotechnical investigation, design, consultation, and construction observation services for a variety of geotechnical engineering projects with an emphasis on sites with challenging subsurface conditions that include liquefaction, consolidation, expansion potential, caving soil, shallow groundwater, and highly variable stratigraphy. Her projects include life sciences, high-rises, seismic upgrades of existing facilities, commercial and residential buildings, research facilities, infrastructure improvements for new developments, sports facilities, school facilities, bridges, piers, and roadway realignments. Lori is a Trustee with the Deep Foundations Institute and an active member of the Codes and Standards Committee. She has testified at code hearings during each of the last three code cycles. She is also a member of the committee to revise San Francisco Administrative Bulletin AB-082 and developed the new geotechnical administration bulletin AB-111 for tall buildings.
