Ar. Koh Kok Hian joined the Housing & Development Board (HDB) in May 2011 and is currently the deputy director for design development section 2 in the Design Development Group. His key responsibilities are to manage the design development and implementation of new HDB projects, ensuring that the projects are well designed and within schedule. He is also supporting HDB’s efforts to drive construction productivity and sustainability. Prior to this portfolio, he was the deputy director for design development section 1 coordinating HDB’s effort in senior living in public housing; looking into senior friendly housing typologies and features; and implementation of the Community Care Apartments (senior friendly housing with care services) for the elderly. Prior to joining HDB, he was with architectural firm SCDA working on private residential, hospitality and office developments. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Master of Architecture from the National University of Singapore. He is a registered Qualified Professional with the Board of Architects, Singapore.
